DESCRIPTION:5 day murmuration workshop with RHIANNON & MARGIE GILLIS \n9:30 am – 12:30\nlunch break\n2:00-4:00pm \n$1500 \nTICKETS AND MORE INFORMATION HERE \n \n\n\nThe Murmuration Project is the realization of a dream.\nIt began with watching the starlings move by the thousands in the sky and imagining how humans might do that.\nWatching dancers use this concept because the body is a powerful source for inspiring the voice. \nYears of working with singers combining improvised sound and movement.\nThen we begin crossing the space together allowing the next sound and movement to emerge spontaneously.\nLearning to articulate physical shapes and musically sophisticated patterns inside this powerful immersion that occurs because. we don’t stop during the performance but continue deeper and deeper into our imaginations.\nSpending two weeks in Montreal  in the fall of 2023 with Margie Gillis and 28 singers who wanted to explore this with me yielded a beautiful deepening of the ideas that now are ready to become innovative improvisation scores.

Using a set of singing bowls and other calming instruments\, her live sound baths reflect years of experience as a performing musician with certified training in mindfulness practices and sound therapy through the Lab of Meditation and the Institute of Traditional Medicine (ITM). Faye’s work explores how sound facilitates personal transformation by balancing the mind and body. A lifelong student- Lyn is also certified and continously studying: MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction)\, Reiki (Holy Fire lineage)\, Kirtan (Bhakti Yoga)\, sound healing and is a Sound Ceremonalist\, certified as a sound bath musician.
