On March 13th, Johanne Ascoli and Hassti Hamidi will co-create a gentle, guided space where creativity and movement meet.
Theme of the evening is:
Tending the Soil Within: The Space Between Seed and Emergence
Come move with the intelligence of your body, with the wisdom of the Earth, with the strength that emerges when we do this work together.
This is how resilience is grown.
This is how active hope takes root.
This is how we rise stronger, clearer, and connected.
If you feel called to meet yourself honestly in the space in between, to tend the soil of your becoming, and to move with what is ready to emerge, you are warmly invited to join us.

More about the event:
Spring is not only about planting seeds, it’s about tending the soil that allows life to emerge and grow.
This workshop offers a space to pause in the in-between, the liminal space between intention and emergence, between the seeds we’ve planted and their becoming, a place to pause and tend the soil within, to clear of it of any remaining debris so we may offer our seeds of intention the best conditions to grow wild, free and strong.
Through creative expression, embodied reflection and two conscious movement dance waves, we’ll tend what is beneath the surface, naming what has been heavy, releasing what has been held, and inviting the body back into aliveness, play, and possibility.
We are in the in-between.
The seeds have been planted,
In the New Year,
In the soil of our hearts,
In our quiet intentions.
And yet, nothing has fully emerged.
At the threshold we stand,
Between winter’s long nights and the lengthening days of spring,
Between who we have been and what is asking to emerge,
Between the shedding of old skins and the courage to become.
Here we are,
In the pause,
Between dark and light,
Where, below the surface,
Roots are forming,
Growth is asking for patience, courage, and care.
This space between seed and emergence can be tender.
Uncertain. Heavy. Unsettling.
In these times, when the world feels fast, fractured, and demanding,
We are called inward.
Not to escape, but to do the honest work that allows life to rise again.
Meet Johanne Ascoli
Johanne Ascoli is a French Canadian soulcentric expressive arts therapist and dance journey facilitator who tends the thresholds where body, soul, imagination and play meet.
Rooted in trauma-informed, somatic, and earth-honouring practices, she opens creative portals for healing and remembrance, inviting people back into right relationship with their inner worlds, with one another, and with the living web of Life.
Her work weaves expressive arts, polyvagal theory, deep ecology, eco-psychology, creative play, imagination and deep soul listening into journeys to awaken the inner creator, healer, and wise self.
She lives at Abundance Community Farm, a land-based project dedicated to decolonizing minds, bodies, and hearts on the unceded ancestral lands stolen from the Stó:lō People that settlers named Agassiz (British Columbia).

What is Expressive Arts and Conscious Movement Journey?
This Expressive Arts and Conscious Movement Evening is a gentle, guided experience that weaves together conscious movement and expressive arts as pathways for self-expression and inner exploration. Rather than following choreography or artistic rules, participants are invited to move, create, and express freely, allowing both movement and creative processes to emerge organically.
Through music, movement, and simple expressive art invitations, this practice supports authentic self-expression and embodied awareness. It offers a supportive space to slow down, release stress, and reconnect with the wisdom of the body, emotions, and imagination. No prior dance or art experience is needed — curiosity and openness are enough.
